Fishing Closes for Summer

Fishing season is closed until further notice.

*** Please Note: Opening of the Fishing Season has been delayed indefinitely due to unfavorable creek conditions. Warm waters and lack of rain make the creek habitat undesirable for the trout. Opening is delayed until further notice*** (Updated 10/5/2023)

Fishing at Black Diamond closes for the summer on June 15th. Trout are cold water fish, so it’s necessary for us to suspend fishing in the warmest months. If we fished during the summer, the trout caught would not survive when released. Fishing is now set to reopen when the creek conditions are favorable for the trout. At this time, fishing is closed until further notice.

Fishing to Open

Fishing in Black Diamond will reopen on Thursday, Sept. 15, please be extra careful with the trout. Due to the warm summer we will need to take extra care to protect the trout. It may take several minutes in a submerged net to revive the trout so they are swimming when released.
