As we head into the warmer months, fishing will go on hiatus beginning Monday, June 16th, but will open again September 15th. We will plan to stock again this fall. Typically we stock in October, the day prior to the BD annual meeting. The fall stocking is much larger than the spring one when we are heading into summer with lower water levels and warmer water temperatures, both of which are hard on the trout.

Fishing at Black Diamond closes for the summer on June 15th. Trout are cold water fish, so it’s necessary for us to suspend fishing in the warmest months. If we fished during the summer, the trout caught would not survive when released. Fishing is now set to reopen when the creek conditions are favorable for the trout. At this time, fishing is closed until further notice.
